ABC is saddened to learn of the financial difficulties facing Clarks Summit University. Their role in preparing young men and women for ministry over the past nine decades has been invaluable. We are praying for all of the staff and students, and for God to accomplish His will through these challenging times.
Although Appalachian Bible College may not have the academic programs to provide for all Clarks Summit students, we want to be of service in any way possible. For any CSU or Baptist Bible Seminary students who have a desire for a Bible and ministry-focused degree, we invite you to apply (abc.edu/apply) and we will seek to expedite your application process in time for the fall semester.
Any transfer students who complete the application process may also be eligible for our BIG Scholarship: 100% of tuition covered. For more info, see abc.edu/big.

We love to see our students serving in a variety of ways! Kara is supervising the kitchen staff at camp, as well as participating in discipleship/mentoring opportunities. Pray that as she completes her summer internship, she would be consistent in her personal devotional/prayer time, and that she would be flexible in her many roles at camp.
This summer is all about camp ministry for Scott, as he serves as a counselor and on programming staff at Trail Ridge Camp. He praises the Lord for financial provisions in his travels, and asks for prayer that the campers through the summer would be responsive to God's Word.
Student teaching is a highlight for our Elementary Education majors preparing to serve the Lord in the educational field. Claire, a recent graduate from the Elementary Education major, shares some of what she learned throughout her student teaching experience. ⬇️
"My semester of student teaching was a wonderful conclusion to my college experience at ABC. I received hands-on experience teaching a variety of subjects and age groups, and I grew so much through the mentorship of my fantastic host teachers. I'm thankful that my training at ABC emphasized Biblical integration, meeting individual student needs, and collaborating with others. Through this experience, God truly taught me that He is good and faithful and will lead me wherever I go in the future!"

We are so grateful for the number of ABC students devoting their summer to camp ministry!
Anna is another one of our current students serving at a Christian camp this summer! She requests prayer that she would rely on the Lord for strength and energy, as well as for opportunities to reach out to campers to share the gospel.
"Variety" may be the best descriptor of Macy's summer ministry! As she serves in many areas at her home church, pray that Macy would be a blessing to those whom she is serving, and that there would be effective outreach from her church in the community.
If you are in New York or West Virginia, the ABC Gospel Heralds may be headed to a church near you over the next couple of weeks! Check out their remaining tour locations at https://abc.edu/news-and-events/ministry-tours/gospel-heralds.php - we hope to see you there!
Jonathon, a former Alpine camper and current ABC student, is serving as the Kitchen Coordinator at Alpine Bible Camp. We love seeing campers choose to continue their education at ABC and serve during the summers with Alpine Ministries. As the summer is quickly coming to a close, Jonathon requests prayer that he can positively impact the campers, especially campers that he has met in previous years!
The past two months have been full of traveling, singing, laser tag, and camp ministry for Hannah, one of our recent graduates. One of the blessings of serving with the ABC Gospel Heralds is that students are exposed to many different ministries, all over the United States! As the Heralds prepare to finish their tour over the next 10 days, Hannah asks that we pray for their contacts - that they would be pointed to Christ through the ministry, and that young people would be influenced to dedicate their lives to vocational ministry.
The Library may be quiet now, but in just one month, our students will be back to the books! T-29 days until the semester begins... 📚
Cole has been very busy this summer as an Adventure Guide for Alpine Ministries! In his role as an Adventure Guide, Cole is able to participate in rafting, rappelling, caving, and other activities that point guests to the Creator. In the last couple weeks of the summer, Cole requests prayer that he would have effective gospel conversations with guests.
